KeyStrokes™ is a soft keyboard that generates an image of a keyboard on the Macintosh display for those who cannot enter text using a hard keyboard. A mouse or a mouse emulator is used to select and enter characters by pointing and clicking on the keys. Operations that require simultaneous actuation of more than one key are performed using the special sticky key feature of KeyStrokes. This allows command key and other modifier key-click combinations to be performed. Characters are sent to applications running natively on OS 9 (KeyStrokes 3.1), OS X and into applications running in Classic Mode. KeyStrokes 4.1 requires Mac OS 10.4 or later.
New Features of KeyStrokes 4.1:
- LayoutKitchen 2.1.1 is included enabling users to design their own keyboard panels
- Universal Binary – Now KeyStrokes 4.1 can run natively on either PowerPC or x86 (Intel)- based Macintosh computers
- Enhanced compatibility with Spaces
- When running on Leopard, KeyStrokes 4.1 provides automatic layout switching when the user changes the keyboard layout in the Mac OS X Input menu
